Thank you so much to Alayne of The Crowded Leaf who honoured me with this award!
This award is for those followers who are the most loyal and give bloggers joy by commenting regularly and giving their support. Pass it on to 3 to 7 followers who are as loyal as dragons.
Okay. It’s my moment of glory! Picture a red carpet, arc lights, and Moppet in a long evening frock (tail sticking out the back). And some little gold envelopes…
In the Bloggers category, the awards go to:
Elizabeth Chadwick of Living the History
Misfit of At home with a good book and the cat…
Marg of Reading Adventures
In the Commenters category, the awards go to:
Mr. Ken
Love History
Meneldur
Yes, I know the commenters have nowhere to display their awards, but they can print them out and stick them on the fridge. Or something.
See you at the after-party!

Oh, I am honoured – thank you! (sweeps a curtsey!) Next time I blog, I will put the pic in my sidebar.
Oh-my-God!! I am so overwhelmed to receive this honour – The Dragon’s Loyalty Award 2010 for Commenters!
I am at a loss to know how to respond, so I have checked out some acceptance speeches from the past. These seem to sum up my gratitude:
“I’m totally overcome, even speechless! Gather, gather, gather!!”
“I don’t have a sense of entitlement or that I deserve this. You’d be surprised at the lack of competition between candidates. Can I have my champagne now?”
“I feel like Adam when he said to Eve, ‘Back up, I don’t know how big this gets.”
“I just want to thank everybody I’ve ever met in my entire life.”
“Most of all, I want to thank my father, up there, the man who when I said I wanted to be a commenter said, ‘Wonderful. Just have a back-up profession like structural engineering.”
“I am the king of the world!”
Thank you so much Miss/Lady Moppet. I hope my daughter will marry your son.
You’re welcome Ken, or is it Thor?!
I don’t know how old your daughter is, but she may have some time to wait, as Oscar is only three!
By the way, some of you might have guessed that ‘Mr Ken’ and ‘Thor’ are one and the same! Did you??
Aha! I see it all now. You were so overcome with getting your award you let slip your secret identity! It’s you who has been posting comments in Thor’s name implying that his relationship with me is more than platonic! It took hours to explain it all to the King. Well, I suggest that, much like President Obama with the Nobel Peace Prize, you use the Dragon’s Loyalty Award as a call to action – not to tease poor Lady Moppet again!
Mummy! Mummy! What about me? What about me?
Dictated to my scribe
Sorry darling! There’s just one award left – here you are:
Oscar is going to kill the dragon dead.
Dictated to my scribe
No love – he’s a nice dragon! A loyal dragon, not like Smaug or that other one we were reading about, Chrysophylax.
You wouldn’t get very far against a dragon with a wooden sword, anyway, Oscar.
No award for me?
No, and you know why.
*Bows*
Thanks for the nod Miss M and sorry to take so long getting here. I was actually busy at work today and barely had time to stay on tops of things, no time for comments
PS, I was sorely tempted to leave you a Tuesday Teaser from Inside Robins, et al but I was worried your other readers might not understand :p
PSS, I though Thor was Ken. Now we have to figure out who Johnnes Rex is.
Oh, do, do give us a Tuesday Teaser from Inside Robin’s Too Tight Tights!
Thank you ever so much, milady! I am touched! May we keep commenting and blogging for a long time together!
What did John do now?
He has admitted to collaborating with Brother Walter on the Historia Moppetae, which vilifies me and says I was behind all his (King John’s) evil deeds.
More on this when I can bear to write it.
How horrifically evil! The true extent of John’s depravity was beyond anything we could have guessed! Maligning his own Mistress!
You like me! You really like me! Just kidding.
Seriously though, I do feel very honored. I’d like to thank the Academy, but they’ve never really done anything for me so they can forget it.
Oscar is so sweet!
Bad King John! Bad!
